During this time we have noticed a marked difference in the city, especially in its offices and office based businesses. Therefore it came as no surprise to us to find out that rent in Leeds offices is set to reach records highs.
The news comes from Knight Frank, a global property consultant, who found that prices currently sit at an average of £26.50 per sq ft. But these are expected to keep rising and reach a record high of £28.00 per sq ft by the end of the year.
This is due to the development of Leeds as an industrial and commercial powerhouse, often lauded as the London of the North. And there is even more room to grow as there is an estimated 150,000 sq ft of office space still available to rent.
So what does this mean for us? Well, as suppliers of office furniture, including office chairs and office desks to Leeds we are pleased that the city is growing. However this is far from selfish. At Yorkshire Office Group we are pleased to see businesses grow and thrive. Especially SME’s being successful, as that is where we started out over 15 years ago.
