A new survey has revealed that the perfect workplace would be located just three miles away from an employee’s home, would include floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views, al-fresco board meetings, an onsite gym, and yes us Brit’s are even demanding sun-loungers – in this climate!

The study, which asked 2,000 office workers to describe their dream workplace, has revealed that a free kettle, tea and microwave just isn’t cutting it anymore – employees are wanting more.

A key theme within the results is a desire for an outdoor work life, with many people wanting picnic tables and garden space for summer meetings. Meanwhile, others believed being well fed was key to a happy workforce, with demands for free fruit, a buffet trolley to deliver free cake, an on-site canteen with a rotating menu as well as surrounding cafes for those wanting to eat off-site.
